Referral Program
How the Referral Program works
Active students at Riding With Rhythm refers a friend or family member to Riding With Rhythm. The referred schedules and rides a 3-pack of lessons with Shirley. The active student who referred the friend or family member receives $5.00 in Horsey Bucks good towards their 3-pack, merchandise, or monthly fee for “Hands On Horse” class.
Riding With Rhythm wants to reach out to our neighbors in the Tri-states through our existing students’ families. These are the folks who know firsthand and can inform friends about our:
- Lesson program
- “Hands On Horse” Youth Horsemanship Class
- Girl Scout Badge opportunities
- Annual “Halloween Family Bash”
Comfort Session
Comfort Session
Meet our special herd for an hour of calm, tenderness and grooming, with no interest in riding. Just enjoy the herd’s company, learn their personalities, and brush the coats of beautiful large animals.
- Family visit — up to four members over the age of 6. Adults, parents, grandparents — must keep small children close in hand.
- Families are most welcome to take photos, or we can take family pictures on your phone during the comfort session.
- Advanced reservations required, minimum two days’ notice.
Girl Scout Horsemanship Badge Program
Riding With Rhythm is an approved provider for the Girl Scouts. Girl Scout Juniors looking to achieve the Horseback Riding merit badge can work with Shirley and our equine stars to complete the requirements. Contact Shirley for details and pricing.
Share A Ride Program
Share A Ride
In these hard economic times, parents still want to provide their children with opportunities for riding lessons.
The Share A Ride program provides two children with riding lesson opportunities at no extra cost!
- Two riders, one horse/pony, share lesson time
- Lesson format: Both siblings work together grooming, tack up and un-tacking under Shirley’s supervision
- While the first sibling rides the first half of the lesson, the second sibling stays with parent/guardian outside the arena on bleachers at the Rose Garden or in the Meeting Room. Halfway through the lesson, siblings switch places and the second sibling rides while the first rider stays with parent/guardian. Sound confusing? Not at all!
- Share A Ride can be done with a single lesson, 3-1/2 hour pack or 3-hour pack.
This program was originally designed for younger siblings (5 to 6 years old) or large families. Ask Shirley for more information!
